Balance is the attainment of optical and pyschological equilibrium in a composition. There are two types of visual balance: Symmetrical and Asymmetrical. Symmetrical balance refers to an even distribution of visual weight on either side of an axis. Asymmetrical balance refers to a pyschological or “felt” balance.

Balance Training
There are two types of balance, static and dynamic. Static balance is defined as balancing in one place without movement, whereas dynamic balance is defined as balancing with movement such as walking or reaching forward. Why Is Balance Important?
Sports Definition: balance is the ability to stay upright or stay in control of body movement, and coordination is the ability to move two or more body parts under control, smoothly and efficiently. Static balance is maintaining equilibrium when stationary, while dynamic balance is maintaining equilibrium when moving.
At least two days per week of muscle strengthening activity can confer additional health benefits. Healthy adults ages 65 and over had the same recommendations as those ages 18 to 64. Additional physical activity on at least three days a week that emphasizes balance and strength training can help prevent falls.
As a general goal, aim for at least 30 minutes of moderate physical activity every day. If you want to lose weight, maintain weight loss or meet specific fitness goals, you may need to exercise more.
