Example: The formula for finding the volume of a box is:

x = 2y – 7 | Formula (relating x and y) |
---|---|

a2 + b2 = c2 | Formula (relating a, b and c) |

x/2 + 7 = 0 | Not a Formula (just an equation) |

equation: A statement formed by placing an equals sign between two numerical or variable expressions. formula: An equation that states a rule about a relationship.

An equation is a mathematical expression that contains an equals symbol. Equations often contain algebra. Algebra is used in maths when you do not know the exact number in a calculation.

Length, area, and volume, Dimensional measures of one-, two-, and three-dimensional geometric objects. Length is the size of a line segment (see distance formulas), area is the size of a closed region in a plane, and volume is the size of a solid. Formulas for area and volume are based on lengths.

Length is the term used for identifying the size of an object or distance from one point to Length is a measure of how long an object is or the distance between two points. The length of an object is its extended dimension, that is, its longest side.

The definition of length is how long something is, or the amount of vertical space or time it takes up. An example of length is two hours for a movie. An example of length is 12 inches.

In math, height can be defined the vertical distance from the top to the base of the object. It is measured in cm, inches, meters, etc.

Height is measure of vertical distance, either vertical extent (how “tall” something or someone is) or vertical position (how “high” a point is). For example, “The height of that building is 50 m” or “The height of an airplane in-flight is about 10,000 m”.

You can also write heights as simple as “five feet, six inches,” “five foot six,” and so forth. A hyphen will also be helpful if you’re writing it really short, such as “five-six.” You can also write it out using a quotation mark. For example, 5’6” will still be the correct way to write a height.

All men & women wish to look tall & smart. We can make efforts to look smart & fit but it is not easy to gain height. Actually with some determination and right approach we can grow 2 to 6 inches even after 18 years of age. Many people think that post puberty height gain is not possible.

Taking into account that you just mean four more inches over the course of your life and not 4 spontaneous inches, absolutely. When I was 16 years of age which was 2 years ago I was a mere 5′6″ in height. Over the summer of my 2nd year of high school, when I was becoming a 3rd year student, I grew over 6 inches.

It is completely possible for a person to grow 2 more inches after 17. Every person grows at a different rate, and have growth spurts anywhere in the teen years.
